Dark Spell 2021 Storyline :

A scorned woman uses black magic to try to get her husband back, with deadly consequences.

Zhenya suffers from still being in in love with Cyril, her husband, who has left her, so she decides to bring him back. In her desperation, she casts a spell called “Black Wedding”, a magical ritual known for its great power and irreversibility. After the ritual, her beloved husband comes back to her, although his love becomes a deadly obsession: he is even eager to kill Zhenya, so as not to share her with anyone. When the maddened Cyril dies in an accident, the spell does not stop: because even death will not part those who were betrothed by the demon of the ritual.

TAGLINE: Until death tears them apart.

Review of Dark Spell 2021 Horror Film :

I thought it was a very good story. I’m thinking a lot of the negative reviews are on the ‘acting’ the only bad acting/script is the Americanisation of the dubbing. The rest of the world don’t speak with an American dialect. So makes this Russian film seem poorly scripted. But it’s not. Just poorly dubbed.

This film could’ve went a different direction, but the direction it went was sufficient. My only gripe would be how everyone involved popped up at the church. The woman who caused all the drama should have really suffered throughout the film until she made things right. Because of this I am lowering my score to 6, but I’ll let the 7 remain up above.

Like I stated, if it would’ve stayed in the premise, I had in mind, which was the Dark Spell bringing her boyfriend to life and going on jealous rampage as a “conscious zombie” then I would go higher in my scoring. Nevertheless, good movie.
